  •  www.sober24.com. Sober24 is a safe, supportive "Virtual Fellowship" for those in recovery from alcohol and drug abuse and the friends and family who love them. Within, you will find bulletin boards and chat rooms where you can get support when you need it, and offer your own support to those who can benefit from it. This excellent sites offers virtual meetings on a regular basis. Other areas of this online community offers reading material and help in finding a local meeting. Also on this site you will find SoberFuse(tm). SoberFuse is a proprietary online recovery tool to help you track your daily, weekly, monthly and yearly progress in sobriety and provides a cyber call for help if your alcohol and/or drug recovery program weakens towards relapse.

  •  Grant Me the Serenity.... This self-help and recovery site provides extensive information and resources for those in or seeking recovery from various addictions, obsessions & compulsions. Very well laid out and chock full of useful information and contacts.
     
  • www.griefcompanion.org Everyone grieves differently. But no one needs to carry grief alone. Whatever loss you are grieving, here you can share your loss with others, and find material that other grieving people have found helpful and comforting. Grieving takes time. Take time to grieve. This is a helpful resource for the grieving and bereaved. The site features writings from a variety of classic and contemporary writers that grieving people have found helpful and comforting, including five full-length books which can be freely downloaded.

  • Dr. Barbara Sinor introduces her newest book and work with recovery issues on a new website. Barbara's latest book, "An Inspirational Guide for the Recovering Soul," brings heartfelt rituals and insightful meaning to our spiritual journey through recovery. Her website shares all her books with excerpts and reviews as well as a page of "Inspiration for Recovery" to be updated periodically.
  •  SoberCity.com. This is an attractively put-together online public service center providing safe, anonymous, ad-free meeting rooms for recovery purposes. There are no dues or fees in SoberCity. Other features include: Meeting locator with maps (no fees) , AA Intergroups, Conventions, Treatment Locator, Storybook section, History, Cool Stuff, Daily SoberThoughts delivered to your email, and free e-mail. They're also the first to use SoberWare Video healing software!

  •  isurvive.org. Isurvive.org is a newly incorporated non-profit organization that provides an online discussion community to survivors of abuse. They use technology to serve abuse survivors everywhere. This site features community discussion groups and chat areas. They also provide a robust library of online, local, regional and national resources.

  •  Cybersober.com. CyberSober was founded in response to a need to find twelve-step support group meetings and resources in unfamiliar areas. Licensed by Map Quest, CyberSober boasts maps and door-to-door directions to over 200,000 twelve-step meetings in the U. S. and seventy-two other countries. If you're looking for a 12-step meeting in your home area, or elsewhere in the world, this site is worth visiting. Note: this site requires a subscription fee, but it seems to be a modest one.

  •  Newlifepartners.org. This is a Christian based online support group for women whose husbands are caught in the web of sexual addiction. "Here you will find sharing, caring, love, hope, and prayer to help you daily walk out the Lord's plan for your life. What we are not. We are not a counseling group. We have no paid counselors in our midst. We are a peer support group. This means that each of the ladies within NLP is going through something similar to what you may be experiencing. We also come from a wide range of denominational backgrounds, occupations running the spectrum from career ladies to housewives, a wide range of ages, women who have walked with the Lord for many years to those who have only know him a short time, and lastly a different place for each of us in our own personal healing."

  •  Griefnet.org. GriefNet is an Internet community consisting of more than 30 email support groups and two web sites. Their integrated approach to on-line grief support provides support to people working through loss and grief issues of all kinds. A very valuable site!

  • The Eating Disorder Referral and Information Center. This site is dedicated to the prevention and treatment of eating disorders. They provide information and treatment resources for all forms of eating disorders, referrals to eating disorder practitioners, treatment facilities, and support groups. Referrals to eating disorder specialists are offered at no charge as a community service. In addition, they offer general information to the public about the treatment and prevention of eating disorders. Their intention is to promote social attitudes that enhance a healthy body image and self-esteem.

  •  Geri's Recovery Music. This appealing site is put together by Geri, a recovering addict and singer/songwriter. This site tells her story of recovery and the resulting music that has been a part of her healing. Geri's site also has some excellent links to other recovery-oriented sites, including many 12-step programs. Samples of her music are also available here.

  • Sobriety and Recovery Resources. This is an excellent collection of resources for the recovering community and it's very well laid out and presented. This site is worth checking out -- it has recovery stories and articles, links to AA, Al-Anon, Overeaters Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous and many others, and humor.

  •  Soul Self Help. Soul Self Help offers a wide variety of information on various personality disorders and mental health issues. It also supports and runs several e-mail support lists. It is a site that offers Soul's Thought of The Day e-mail list, prose, poetry and hope and inspiration to continue the journey of recovery and self-actualization.

  •  At Health, Inc. Web Site is an excellent, comprehensive, and well-organized mental health resource on the Net. It features an informative set of articles on mental health topics, loads of listings of other mental health resources, as well as a directory of therapists, counselors, and treatment centers all around the US. Their directory of therapists is particularly useful if you're not able to find a therapist from our own listing of Bradshaw-oriented therapists. Their listing includes details about each therapist's orientation and philosophy, so this is particularly useful if you're searching for a counselor in your area. Their site also includes information about medications that can be used for mental health treatment.

  •  ShrinkTank Web Page. This site offers a whole range of mental health resources and links, plus a fun set of musical backgrounds to entertain you while you peruse their offerings. This site is for mental health consumers as well as professionals and has an excellent collection of psychology articles available. ShrinkTank also contains links to other psychology sites and to therapists' home pages.

  • Sheri Heller's Home Page Recovery Links. This page is maintained by Sheri Heller, a New York therapist, and contains valuable links to recovery-oriented sites on the Net.

  • Support for Support People. This site, put together by Ken Strong from Victoria, Canada, is dedicated to those who know and/or live with people who have anxiety disorders and is a source of information and support. It has been awarded 3 stars by the Canada Mental Health Net, and is worth checking out.

  • Restoring Fallen Ministers and Religious Leaders. This site includes a "Restoration Manual: A Workbook for Restoring Fallen Ministers and Religious Leaders," a step by step process of organizing a Restoration Team for a repentant pastor and gives practical recovery steps. This unique workbook will help the broken minister pick up the pieces of his or her life as it gives hope and direction. This topic has been uncharted territory but needs to be discovered and explored...and quickly!

  • Co/Anon E-mail List Group: An E-mail Forum for Friends and Family Members of People Addicted to Sex. Info site: www.sarr.org/coaddicts/. Partners, family members and friends of people addicted to sex and/or love can join this e-mail discussion list where we share our experience, strength and hope with one another. We can talk about our own co-dependency and co-addiction, and gain support in dealing with someone else's compulsive/obsessive sexual behavior. This list is closed for the group's safety. We use an application form to screen new members, and we provide guidelines for sharing. To receive a group description and application, please send a blank email to coanon-subscribe@sarr.org. If you have difficulty, contact list admin directly at coanon-owner@sarr.org and request that an application be sent you.
     
  • Self-Help and Psychology Magazine. This is a quality on-line magazine resource.

  • Dick B.'s Home Page on the History of A.A.. Dick B. has had eleven titles published on the history of early A.A.'s spiritual roots and successes. He is an active, recovered member of Alcoholics Anonymous, a retired attorney, and a Bible student. He has sponsored 70 men in their recovery. His titles cover A.A.'s origins in the Bible, the teachings of Rev. Sam Shoemaker, the principles of the Oxford Group, Anne Smith's journal, and the daily devotionals used in the late 1930's.
