Creating Your Passionate Path
An Ongoing Therapy Group for People in their 20's and 30's
$40 per session
This therapy group is designed for people in their 20's and 30's who want to discover their true path – and be empowered to follow it. You may be in or contemplating college or graduate school, or near or post-graduation and wanting clarity about your next steps. The group is also for those who are seeking their path outside of the college/graduate school framework. The group uses the creative arts – drawing, music, writing, movement, psychodrama, and dreamwork – to assist you to create the life you really want. No art experience is required.
The group operates on the assumption that each person has their own unique path, one that is both in them and also calls to them. A path pushes to have itself expressed; unexpressed, it makes us feel dissatisfied, restless, unfulfilled. This group uses the arts – movement, music, writing, drawing, drama, dreams – to help you discover and manifest your passionate path. Your passionate path is the one that connects you to and expresses your life's purpose and meaning.
The group supports you, through verbal and art techniques, to live the life you want – in your relationships, friendships, family, and career. The group will support you to make courageous choices, create healthy relationships, and heal past wounds. You will be supported in expressing feelings so they can be heard, releasing toxic shame, and learning to express and handle anger in healthy ways. The group also focuses on developing connection to your body’s inner wisdom, your intuition, and your higher self.
Facilitator: Keely Burke, MA, MFT Registered Intern, is an Associate Staff Member at the Center for Creative Growth and is an Expressive Arts therapist.
