Sara Glozer is a trainee at the Center for Creative Growth under the supervision of the licensed Marriage and Family Clinical Supervisory Team at the Center. Sara is a graduate student in the Integral Counseling Psychology department at the California Institute of Integral Studies. Sara’s journey through the healing arts has been greatly influenced by Buddhism, world travel, activism, and her connection with the earth. The most important gift her lifetime of involvement with Buddhism lends to her work is the belief that all beings have inherent access to happiness and peace. Her travels have enabled her to learn to work with people of varied life experiences and cultures with sensitivity and respect, while also recognizing the themes that are common and connective for all people. Through many years as a massage therapist, Sara has learned with awe and amazement about the healing that naturally unfolds within a safe space. Sara is interested in working with the full range of issues which bring people to psychotherapy, with special interest in women’s issues, relationship issues, trauma, grief, the role of creativity in the healing process, and spiritual growth.
What Sara Says About Being A Therapist
“I believe that the most difficult times of our lives can hold the greatest potential for our growth and development. As a therapist, I am honored to hold the space of knowing that healing is available to all, no matter what journeys our lives have taken us on. I see the role of the therapist as a kind of psychological midwife, guiding the client through a very natural process as they birth greater joy, strength, authenticity, freedom, and creativity into their lives."
